I did a budget brake upgrade. I was able to pick up new CTS-V calipers for $562, and the rotors for $828 off amazon... I painted them to match the factory gray that came on the car;, VHT cast iron is a close match. I will caution anyone who orders Goodridge stainless brake lines, they dont work with the factory hard line brackets. I ended up picking up Factory Z06 lines.... overall a pretty easy upgrade. I also added some T-1 Sways bars I picked up for locally For $40 from a local shop

I really want to do this in the future on my Z51. What brake pads did you go with?

Care to post the part numbers you used? Also, what wheels did you decide to go with? Or spacers?

Thank you!

Sorry didnt see these..... One of the keys to a cheaper cost is to put the amazon items in your cart and let them sit... you will see price drop

Amazon: Calipers: 172-2522/172-2521 .... any CTS-V Caliper works.. and at the time cheaper than the Corvette... same exact Caliper.. same goes for ZL1( I paid $228 and $338)

Rotors: AC Delco 84951566 AC Delco Rotor, they are the same for both sides.( I paid $414 a piece on Amazon)

Brake hoses: Call Chevy Dealer get the C7 CZ06 hoses; ACDELCO1761882/176881 $140

Brake Dust Shields at Rock Auto ACDELCO 23446730 ACDELCO 23446731

Brake Pads: Committed a sin here, I had EBCs but they did not work... I went and got a set from Advanced Auto ... they will likely get changed (but great so far)
CWPLT Semi-Metallic Brake Pads - Front (4-Pad Set) Part # PMD1405H

Amazon; Set of 20 Lug Nuts and 1 Key M12x1.50 Closed End Spline Tuner 40mm (1.57") long 7.87mm Shank
ACDelco Professional 18K2108X Front Disc Brake Caliper Hardware Kit with Clips, Pins, and Bolts $26.34

Akata 5MM WHEEL SPACERS FOR CHEVROLET CORVETTE 5X120.65 CB 70.30 BLACK ANODIZED.

I have Z51 wheels

Forgive my ignorance, but are these bigger than the factory Z51 brakes? That makes this the upgrade?

Why the spacers? I thought they were not needed just to go to GS/Z06 sized iron brakes.

Z51 wheels will not clear the calipers, 5mm is even pretty tight

Got another part number for these? This doesn’t match up to a rotor.

Thanks!
