Opinions will vary regarding the transmission but I am pretty certain from long experiences with C6 and C7 cars that the factory fill OEM fluid for the differential is DEXRON LS as the best. DEXRON LS was formulated and introduced as the factory fill in all corvette differentials starting with MY2009. It pretty much stopped the highly problematic low speed turning noise with the clutch plates grabbing with the old Mr Goodwrench fluids in the models prior to 2009. I have difficulty recalling anyone complaining on the Forum regarding their cars with the DEXRON LS installed either as factory fill or as a drain and refill maintenance fluid. I no longer have an A8 auto tranny and never did a fluid change on it while I owned it.
I didn't get quite 3 quarts back in after I drained it. I also purchased this small quart bottle pump from Amazon, it made it a lot easier to get the fluid in the diff:
Sometimes the Amazon links in the forum will upset antivirus programs so if that happens to you copy the link and open a different browser window to use it.
If your changing the ATF fluid from the old version to the new fluid, Mobil 1 Blue Label, you will need 24 quarts to do a complete change.
There is a TSB on this subject and a lot of threads on this site too.
The Mobile 1 Synthetic LV ATF fluid is part number: 124715. This is the new blue label reformulated ATF fluid
For the differential gear oil, many forum member us Mobile 1 Synthetic Gear Oil 75W-90. It contains the limited slip friction modifier same as the ACDelco gear oil product.

If you have the eLSD diff you don't need the friction modifier since there are no clutches in the diff they are external to the diff and have a separate lubrication system.
