there is no scanner that is any better that GM's GDS2 software as it can access all the modules in any GM car a I use a VX Diag for my MDI module ..its a little bit of a pain to get loaded but once it is you will never go back ...
I use a Topdon unit that reads everything fine.. I had a coil pack go out over winter when car was just sitting in garage on tender... strange things happen on these newer cars.. post up what the results are.. good luck

So I need to ask you a question…..yes software is a sequenced 3 part pain to install.
My question pertains to the software….it only goes up to 2013 and my Vette is a 2015, how do I get a more recent version?
This is on the memory stick that came with it….I guess a hacked version of GDS2.
Turn that engine OFF and don't continue to run it until it is repaired.
Keep on 'testing' it and you will run out of luck sooner than latter.

I just ran it for 1 minute to confirm the collapsed lifter because none of them appeared to be loose when I checked them after removing the passenger side valve cover!
Also, drove the damned thing 80 miles to get it back home so I don’t think one minute is going to make it go boom 💥

So #6 exhaust pushrod was bent, so I pulled the passenger side head and #6 exhaust lifter was partially collapsed. Cam and lifter roller OK As well as lifter guide assembly. Replaced all passenger side lifters and guide assemblies.
Performed VLOM plug mod in lifter solenoid oil feed. Drilled hole in plug to match size of high pressure fuel pump cam oiler spray hole on rear underside of VLOM.
Also broke off 8 solenoid seals that mate with lifter activation towers below VLOM cover so that AFM cannot be activated.
Will turn off AFM system in ECM with HP Tuners software.
Awaiting new hardened chrome moly replacement pushrods, will change out all 16.
Should be done in a week or so 👍

Last night changed my oil and filter and programmed off DOD with my new HP Tuners which took 4 credits at $49.99 per credit plus the $399 cost of the interface adaptor.
Took it out for a spin today to get my wife’s Birthday gift.
Runs great 👍😁
The new hardened push rods are coming on Friday…..will install them when I get a chance.
