Default 2016 C7 stacked mods underpowered HP?

My 2016 C7 stingray Z51 with a C7 carbon fiber wicker bill and front splitter,

has

long tube American racing headers
borla atak exhaust black ceramic tips
afe cold air intake
atomic air force intake
and dyno tuning

that's taken my stock 455HR to 511HR

so 56 horse power increase on less than twenty thousand miles, and after parts and labor it was easily ten grand.

in speaking with friends of other vette owners it's been suggested with my modification stack I'm running severely under my HP potential. Please advise

Did you get a baseline dyno run before adding any mods?

Cheers

The only power adding mods you really have are the headers , intake, and intake manifold. 455 isn’t what you’re making at the wheels and unless they dynoed the engine I’m not sure if 511 is accurate either. That aside 55 horsepower sounds about right for horsepower gain with your mods.

I didn't : ( I just assumed at 9K miles , stock no damage ect it'd be around the 455 base

it's def not 511 to the wheels , and I'm not looking at a supercharger right now I'm just wondering if my tune is synched good and without the flex fuel mod how'd I squeeze out more hp

If 511 wasn't measured at the wheels, where did that number come from?

Cheers

the shop hit it with a dyno tune I think the 511 was horse power total I know that to the wheels it's different.
the stock stingray has 455 hp but that's just the engine output? 66 hp seems like not that much for that mod setup for a stingray

LT1 Stock is between 396 to 410 RWHP Bone stock. The Mods you have could possibly land around 455 RWHP but that sounds high also. Adding e85 to the set up would put you there. When I had the Same Mods you have, with e85 I was at 450hp to the wheels.

How are you making that assessment? Even if you had dyno runs you don't know for sure unless you actually drive the car and find out what it can do. I notice you have Stage 2 front aero on the car and Stage 3 Rear Aero. That adds a lot of drag and the differences between no aero to Stage 1 to Stage 2 and Stage 3 can be felt even on a Z06 once you are in triple-digit speed territory. A GS running its stock Stage 2 front aero with Stage 2 rear aero can run with a Z06 configured with complete Stage 3 Aero. Both have a hard time with a Z51 not running much of any aero once speeds get over 120.

I’m def a beginner and that’s why I’m here , I grateful for the feed back, I heard cams and flex fuel now as being hp upgrades , I know nothing about cams and am wondering should that have been done with the headers install and if I researched how much hp would I add what’s the top manufacturers and what’s the functionality

Bill,

Honestly the assessment came from a viral YouTube video of this guy configuring a dyno tune to a c7 can’t remember if it’s a a Z06 , with the arh and got some crazy 100 or more hp not to the wheels off a stock stingray that then added the arh long heads and tune only, none of the other three mods I have, also one of the friends of one of the shops mechanics said his borla exhaust plus borla xpipe with tune only was ahead of my dyno and that was prior to any of the C7carbon fiber additions.

I just picked what I thought looked the coolest I even had c7carbon gran turismo side skirts that cracked in the shipping box, I didn’t think to look at wind drag and performance sadly. But I already chipped the front splitter lol, so if I replace I pair with the correct aero line up? Appreciate the reply brother

Flex fuel seems to be a common denominator, any advice on manufacturer or best in class to purchase
thanks

The shop owner after the dyno said it’s slow lol and said it sounded like the engine was knocking and asked about what kind of fuel I was using . I trust the shop owner I just wonder is this the most I’ll get from this setup and how do I get more without the turbo

Why would he listen to the sound of knocking? Shouldn't he be looking on the screen where the knock sensor will report to the ECM?
