Hey y’all! My 2014 Z-51 3LT C7 HVAC isn’t working properly. It is perfectly cold and hot as it should be on driver or passenger zones with all temperature settings working fine. The problem is that regardless of whether I press defrost, floor, or the middle vent buttons it only blows out of the middle vents. I know this is odd, because I always thought the default mode on most vehicles is with the defrost but not on this one. Any help would be greatly appreciated. A Dealer here in town told me I couldn’t reflash the HVAC system; I thought that maybe would’ve been an option. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
WELCOME to the Forum !!…I would first look for any stored DTC’s…if you don’t have a scan tool Autozone may be able to do a quick scan for you…here is a TSB from Alldata for a 2015 Z51 3LT but it probably applies to your 2014 car too…your dealership doesn’t know what they’re talking about…most new modules that are replaced these days need to be programmed and the HVAC is one of them…find a diagnostic shop in your area and NOT a dealer to do this…I would not recommend a dealership to even diagnose a lightbulb... it will be cheaper too...OOPS...sorry, looks like I highlighted Colorado instead of Corvette !!…BTW, where are you located ???

The blower did quit working back over the summer, so I just unplugged it and put dielectric grease in it and plugged it back in and it’s worked ever since. The only thing I’ve done to it is a OBD plug to disengage AFM and a throttle control module made by red light bandit. I cannot imagine either one of these would affect the blend door air delivery.

No it would not…as far as dielectric grease goes this grease is an insulator so it’s not idea to use on low current wiring…they do make products for this and for me Stabilant 22 is the best !!…a little pricey though.
