I have a had an 11 C6 Base stock that was a lot faster than my Stock 19 GS. The 19 is an A7 and the 11 was an A6. I know the A7 transmissions are marginal at best, but the car is really slow. Would an after market throttle controller make a very big improvement in acceleration? I don’t really want to put much money in the car. But it is so slow that it’s miserable to drive. I am just looking to make the car bearable until it’s gone.
... That said, if a base 2011 is remarkably slower than a 2019 GS, it sounds like something is very, very wrong with your car. Or your 2011 was very much not stock.
On paper, we're talking about gaining ~200 pounds, ~30hp, and ~40tq when going to the GS. All that plus the gearing shaves off something like a half second for your 0-60 time.
Can you quantify "really slow" and "miserable to drive" ?

You're putting premium fuel in it, right?
Yes I use BP premium. If it is in auto mode, and I am going forty. I can stomp the gas and count a 1000 one, a thousand two, a thousand three before it down shifts and takes off.

The only way this car would see 12s would be to drive off a cliff. Remember it is a v4 with a marginal transmission. It still had warrant I will have the check it.
I really hate to go this expense. But would it be possible to swap the A7 for an A6 transmission, it feels like that may be the biggest problem with that car. This is my third C7 and this by far the slowest.
No I should kept the right car. Three c7s in six months, all major issues, all less than 16k miles.
Based on the way you're writing, I feel like something may be wrong with you. your logic doesn't seem to be all there, and you seem a little frazzled about whatever this is, but haven't bothered to use any logic whatsoever to try and identify whatever this issue is. I assume you're calling it an A7 because it has an OD? It's an 8 speed transmission, and the 6 speed was also marginally slower, not faster.
" This is my third c7 and it's by far the slowest ". Do you not know how cars work, like, at all, because it's not like that lol. Clearly something is wrong, what have you done to identify it?
You can head to youtube and clearly see how much faster the A8 is over the A6, and even the M7 in the 2019. While your post seems confusing, you can't possibly want any real advice here as you're being so dramatic about this it's comical. I would suggest you sell the C7 and live your happy life with a c6 as that seems to make you happy.

Sorry on the typo, let’s say A8, I guess was thinking of my old M7 GS. I have been doing a little you tube watching, they and you are so funny. I think I have an understanding of the car. The torque converter on the c6 seems to engage at a lower RPM, a higher stall speed. That really gives you more acceleration. The c7 torque converter engages at lower rpm to save gas. I think this may be where the torque tube and torque converter failures start. I wonder where the idea of a clutch in the torque converter originated. The C7 has active fuel manager which basically makes it a v4, with lifter failure. If I had my preference the car would be the like the ZR1 and wouldn’t have AFM. Really I am just trying to make the car bearable. But it is fun to play the dash display.

That really gives you more acceleration (This is simply not true, the c6 accelerates from a dig slower than the c7, just as it does from a roll in pretty much every scenario). If you're cruising down the road at, say, 60, then you just randomly stomp on the gas and you happened to be in v4, it may take a moment longer to engage back to all 8, then accelerate, but again, you're being extremely dramatic about it. Blip the throttle to get it back into v8 mode, then stomp the pedal. You may just need a bit more experience in a performance car?
It's not a v4, in any stretch of the imagination. It's an 8 cyl engine that shuts off half of those cylinders under light load, aka, while cruising. It sounds like perhaps you're in v4 mode when you're stomping on the gas and it hesitates. The issue with that theory though is it would never ever happen every single time you tested it. So again, you're either being extremely dramatic, or the car has something wrong with it. If you believe this is the cause for it to be " so slow " which, again, isn't, as it's literally an extremely fast car in every sense of the phrase " Very fast car", then you can purchase a tool that completely disables cylinder deactivation and you'll never go into v4 mode again. Here a link to one you can purchase.
If you've had major problems with 3 C7s in six months, I have to say, look for the common denominator.
snark aside, a throttle controller is unlikely to make the problem go away. You need to find the real problem. That car should go like a bat out of hell. As was suggested, if you are starting from AFM mode (V4), that could cause some additional lag when you stomp it. Maybe consider a Range device which keeps the car in V8 mode all the time.

I put range device on the car to disable the V4 mode as soon as I bought it, I am taking the car to the dealership this week to see if there is something wrong with the car. It is still under warranty. I have owned 3 c7s, the M7 Grandsport was fast. But the A8s (Did I get that right?) have been dogs. This car being the worse, In manual mode the A8 will not go in V4 mode from the factory, That would eliminate the possibility of the Range Device being faulty, but even in manual mode it isn’t fast. It’s slow. From a dead stop it’s pitiful. I think either the drive by wire is screwed up or the car is engineered for gas mileage and not performance. I am hoping a throttle controller will help. I will let you know what the tech says. But if car is running like it is suppose to, I am going to drop the plates and insurance until spring and try to trade it. I would love to have low mileage clean 12 or 13 C6.

Anyone so interested in the power and acceleration might consider going to a dyno and actually check out the power/torque output. Most here are very serious about the performance and would probably take a more serious look at what problems you may have with a particular vehicle. Do you need help finding a chassis dyno close by?
I know is flooring is flooring. I was hoping a throttle controller would let the engine know it is floored a lot quicker. Thanks!
No, that's not how they work. They go between the pedal and the ECU, not between the ECU and the throttle body.
Stomping it to the floor without a throttle controller is indistinguishable from stomping it to the floor with a throttle controller. All the throttle controller will do is waste money and reduce the granularity of your throttle pedal, unless you buy one that allows you to soften the gain. Most people want the increased gain because they're scared of physically flooring it, so they want to pay someone for a box that'll do it for them instead.

I don't want to keep beating this dead horse but honestly, you're coming across as super strange man, i'm not even trying to be rude here. Firstly, you can just use your dashboard to determine if you're in v4 mode or not. My father has a 2010 C6 and it's fast, but my c7 is faster. The idea that it's a " dog " from a stop is just plain 'ol ignorance. Even if it was the slowest corvette in the entire world, it's still got a 450+ crank horsepower engine, the car is literally fast, this is not a subjective thing, there isn't a person that can arguably say the corvette is a dog unless something is wrong. If you've driven corvettes as much as you've said, then you would / should know this.
I look forward to hearing what the tech has to say, there is no way that car is working correctly based on what you're describing.
