I have these two rubber stops and they are starting to deteriorate and white flakes keep coming off. I tried silicone spray and it works for a short while but the rubber turns back from black to white. Anyone else have this issue? 2019 stored indoors. by change a part number if I can replace them with better ones
A better picture, and where they are located may elicit some responses. Is it vert specific? All said, the one thing my little local dealer is good at is looking up parts and part-#s for me... (hint, hint, if no one resplies) All the best, in any event.
If you have the top down completely but the cover is still up ( rear spoiler like) you can see this by looking behind the door at the top mechanism on either side. thank you for your response.
I expect it to be part of an expensive assembly but hoping the rubber is available separately
My 17 GS Vert looks the same as yours. It has been that way since new. To me it looks like mold release compound from the rubber injection molding process. I have not worried about it nor looked into replacing it. If it disintegrates and falls off, then I will replace it. My car is garaged also I doubt that it is a real problem, just a possible cosmetic issue.
