Need advice on Halltech intake. RE blocking off 2nd PCV hole.
I picked up a used Halltech intake for my GS. It has the hole for the 2nd PCV that was needed on earlier cars. Has anyone got suggestions for a block off plug that doesn't run the risk of being sucked into the intake? Thanks.
I'd look to see if something like the below will work. Since the tube is obviously curved, you may need to do a little slicing so the grommet flexes enough. Use some "Right Stuff" around the edges to seal. With a little patience it'll look nice.
That was my first thought. There's a similar plug in the bottom of the airbox where you get access to the filter clamp. But I'm just paranoid about the possibility of it getting sucked into the engine. It's probably not realistic, but that's just how I am. I'm going to see if I can use a threaded aluminum plug instead.

The curved contour of the tube may be the problem....although it's hard to tell without seeing it in person.
Perhaps "plastic weld" a patch over it? Maybe buy a large patch of high temp silicon and hold it in place with hose clamps. Use a little sealant on the underside to ensure it seals.
