I have a similar sound. Sitting at a stop at idle, if I release the clutch I hear a faint click. Don't hear it if I increase the rpm or driving at slow speed. Everything seems ok.
not sure! it's something that I do in day to day driving -- like, if I misjudge getting a green light next, well, I'll drop the clutch in neutral instead of holding it in like some kind of absolute lunatic.
Haha!! I guess when you said let the clutch out rapidly I thought you were diagnosing something. I can be a lunatic for sure but normally take it out of gear and coast to the light when I miss it. Or I let the clutch out smoothly in neutral not so much rapidly. That’s the part I haven’t done I guess.
Sounds like a possible Pilot bearing failure? or synchro issue? Hard to tell without hearing it. Do you have issues shifting gears/stick pop out of a gear? Do you hear it when driving and you put clutch in and out to shift?

it's only when spinning up the torque tube shaft from a dead stop to engine speed.
my shifting issues are only standard tremec problems so far.

Mine makes the same exact noise. I have a 2015 Z06 that I bought with roughly 6,000 miles and it's made that sound pretty much the whole time I've had it. Was told this was "normal" but it's not. Like the other guy up top said, it's most likely a bearing that's gonna bite us in the *** sometime in the future.

to be clear, yours does this, you're saying it isn't normal, but you haven't had any failures, right?
