Default Steel Brake Lines

I have 2016 z51 and want to replace OEM brake lines with Braided steel lines. Can't seem to find any, so looking for source.

Thanks

Thanks
because there is no market for them. It’s not a problem on c7s

I would agree with you regarding normal driving. Had the stainless on my '14 and loved them.

I track the car 30 - 35 days a year and prefer the quicker response over the spongy feel of the brake pedal.

Though I’ve only tracked mine twice, I went with Stoptech lines in addition to DBA rotors and Hawk Performance ceramic pads. What a huge difference!

Thanks, I will check that site. I also use DBA slotted rotors and DTC 60 pads. These lines are for stingray models, not z51.

That link was just for reference. I have a Z51 also. From what I’ve seen from my search, there doesn’t seem to be any difference in application between the base model and the Z 51.

I did some more research and there is a difference for the fronts and z51 versus stingray, but the rears are the same for Goodridge. Stoptechs are the same for both.

Try Essex Parts, they are a forum supporter and their business is racing brakes for Sports Cars, NASCAR and other series. If you call talk to Daniel Stagg or Jeff Ritter they will tell you what you need to know.

Front:

Rear:

The Spiegler lines are some of the best available.

I track about 20 days a year in my z06/z07 I don’t really feel the pedal being spongey. Have you upgrade your front calipers to at least z06 size ? That’s a much more important step than brake lines. Those front brakes are undersized for the weight and speed of the car

Upgrading to z06 calipers is an option. Thanks for the tip.

BTW to all who have responded, KNS does have the Speigler brake lines for the z51.
