Default Shop and Tuner Advice?

Hello, I’m looking to get some work done to my car and am having trouble narrowing down my options. I live in Texas and I’ve heard good and bad about plenty shops in the area. I’m down to LMR, G Force, AMP or DDTech (Derek Dunbar). Does anybody know anything about these shops or personal experience? Do you guys recommend any other shops? All input is appreciated, thanks.

Do they remote tune or just dyno tune?

Central Texas just north of Austin. I’d be willing to travel anywhere in Texas and maybe a state over to get it done. I just want the car cammed and on e85.

I’ve heard of them and people have said they do good work. How’s the drivability?

Yeah the MPG is expected that was my biggest thing. My car now is just headers, full catback and intake, M7 and the thing surges. Of course with a cam some surge is expected but didn’t want to sacrifice too much drivability. I appreciate the input, about how much was the cam and e85 if you don’t mind me asking.

A good tuner can eliminate surge on all but the most monster cams. Many tuners either can't or won't take the time. Low-speed drivability is the hard part. make it clear you want a really good street tune, if they are good they'll say 'ok but it's gonna cost you' and be prepared for $1-2k just in tuning.

That’s my biggest thing is drivability. If I have to sacrifice 10hp to have a better driving and reliable car I’ll do it in a heartbeat. If they ask for more money for a better tune then I’ll gladly pay it.

Same with my car, it’s at about 1k rpm. It is more prevalent when the car is cold but it’s manageable when it’s warmed up. Driving out of the driveway I usually keep the car in first gear the whole way down the street.

I live about 2-2.5 hours from Dallas, I appreciate the offer. I may once I drop it off cause I might spend the night there if it doesn’t take too long. And I had one 2018 mustang GT. I got it mainly to build my credit being that I’m young and never bought a car before that one. I’d get another in the future as a daily but prefer the vettes easily.
