I am going to be upgrading my seats to accommodate a harness and better fit the primary use of my car. Anyone have any good/bad reviews/fitments of seats? How do you like your setup?

Thanks

You mention harness so I'll assume by "primary use" you mean track. OMP HTE-R 400 Never have to worry about trying to hold myself in. There's a thread in the Auto-X / Road Racing section called "Will This Seat Fit My Car" (or something like that) with all sorts of pics, notes, etc

I really like that OMP seat but I didn't want the halo for occasional street driving. I ended up with a Sparco QRT-R and its very comfortable. The AMT mount lets you mount it really low too which I'd also recommend.

Couple things I'll mention....if you have a 2LT or 3LT (or #LZ if Z06), the side mirrors will no longer work and you'll get an airbag message and airbag light. The mirrors you just reposition by hand. I set mine 3 years ago and haven't touched them since. You can dismiss the airbag message via the e steering wheel controls. The light you just live with. Within a few minutes of driving your brain learns to ignore it.

AMT Motorsports seat mount is a must with whichever seat you end up going with, I used their mount with a Recaro Pole Position.

I've always had good experiences with Recaro, but never in a C7. However, if I were looking for a replacement in mine, that's where I'd start. All the best.

I converted my gt seats in to comp seats and love them with fully functional airbags and controls. I also ran cobra nogaro circuit seats in my c6 zr1 as a fixed back low entry seat.

Any tips on installation, was it a tight fit along the top of the seat? How tall are you?

did you use any resistors or whatever to remove seat belt chime or airbag warnings? do the rest of the airbags still work?

I'm looking into QRT-R and AMT ultralow mount as well, with BK harness bar. c7 grandsport 2lt

thx
