Not slamming the manufacturer, just asking if anyone else has experienced this failure.
I have a procharger on my 2014 and have had the idler pully mount fail twice now. The 2nd time after only 2k miles.
I did a quick search and didn't see anything. I'll continue to look and if I find anything, I'll delete this post.
Again, not slamming procharger or the installer, I have no reason to point a finger at either, just asking to find out if this has happened before.
Thanks
My original one failed a year after install. 2nd failed a year later. 4 years ago the new install is still going strong. So, I believe they changed something as over the last 4 years I’ve put on twice the miles.
Clearly, yours isn't the only one. I'd see if they "failed" in the same manner. I suspect there is a design/materials flaw from the sound of this. If you are going to keep the car as it is, I'd suggest a long, hard talk with Procharger (then, buy a few extra replacement parts to have on-hand). Otherwise, I was going to suggest an installation issue, but that most likely seems irrelevant now. Just another reason I'm not a fan of aftermarket "bolt-on" blowers.
I've had two replacements so I'm on the fourth now. My shop said the last one was different, much beefier.
It's been running fine for a few months so they must have decided to address the issue.
For people living at higher altitudes, I recommend getting an altitude adjustment in the form of a Pro-Charger!
