I was able to really open up my 2016 Z06 yesterday. I noticed a definite surging as I was accelerating. I took it up to about 130mph and it worried me enough to shut her down. It was still pulling strong, but the surging REALLY bothered me. Is this the dreaded torque converter going bad? It ran normally after slowing down. For info, it has a Katech ported throttle body, 15% larger ATI, Texas long tube headers & X-pipe. Thoughts?
Best bet without wasting time and money is find a diagnostic shop that has the right equipment and know how to diagnose this…way to many things can cause the car to surge and without at least putting a scan tool on it you’ll only be guessing !!
Miine does the same thing. Only during about 3/4 acceleration. I have heard it's just what it does and have decided to live with it.
I own a 2016 Z06 since new. I'll watch this thread to see the responses are. Maybe I'll learn something.

Interesting since I wasn't floored. I was probably 3/4's also.
I have a 2015 M7. When floored or at part throttle there is no surging. At WOT it will pull to 67 mph in 1st, 123 in 3rd and 152 in 4th. I haven't been anywhere that I could run to the rev limiter in 5th. On track I have found if the intercooler isn't bled sufficiently cylinder number 8 will misfire at WOT at about 5200 and the misfires will come and go. Sometimes it will pull hard all the way to the redline and at other times the power drops off what feels like a couple of hundred HP thus dropping top speed 10 to 12 mph. I have had track sessions where I had full power for 3 laps and then had a power drop for 6 or 7 laps (top speed dropping 10 to 12 mph and car feeling sluggish) followed by a sudden surge being felt at WOT when full power came back with a restoration of top speed, Passengers didn't seem to notice the fall off in power but they sure did notice the surge when it came back as it pressed them into their seatback.
