No tune needed. And there will be no smell except for a little extra on cold start. The main cats will still be in place. The only reason to do this mod is to add a little volume to your exhaust.
I don't think you can buy a Borla or Corsa catless X pipe anymore. There are some other companies that make knock offs though if you search the forum.
Agree with above, no tune needed. The big companies stopped making X-pipes due to EPA regulations so you'll need to look for a used one, or a knock off brand like EOS. They pop up frequently on the for sale section (https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...ipe-c7z06.html) like this one right now.
I'm not sure I've seen an x-pipe with a single connection at the back. Since the vehicle is dual exhaust, they all have 2 connections. Unless I'm not understanding your question. And the only thing an x-pipe will do is add more sound, which is always a good thing.
I have a catless X-pipe , its a Kooks. You won't need a tune. Mine does NOT smell like gas ever. I also have Kooks long tubes and it never smells like gas.
Hello. This mod requires no tuning and is an upgrade nobody regrets. Search any thread for Borla 60547. This is the discontinued pipe that others are speaking of. It's been discontinued for some years now.
