Relocated License Plate - It’s a wrap 🏁
After buying a couple crappy license plate relocation kits, I got a license plate wrap. It’s a reflective, vinyl sticker now legal in California (through one approved company).
I’m generally not a windshield plate type of guy, but I think this beats covering any part of grille, whether it’s a small fraction of the bottom or off to the side. Plus, it’ll be easy to remove without having to worry about the paint. This wrap was originally designed to stick on the front bumper.
Before, I had my metal plate in the windshield. It was technically not legal since, as many of you know, it has to be “securely fastened.” Stickers are secure. The rattling was loud too, so I wanted a change.
I also heard that stickers/decals add 20 hp.
Anyway, what do you think?

I'm not a fan of the big white square off-center in the windshield. If you must a run a plate, I think the Aero plate is the best looking option.
If you must run a plate, I think that is the best way to do it.

As for not running a front plate, it is a violation of a state's vehicle code so LEOs can use it as an excuse to pull you over. I happened to be letting my Grandson drive my Vette when we encountered a State Trooper making a U-Turn on an interstate. Once we went past him he turned on the lights and pulled us over for questions about everything except what he pulled us over for.

I never had seen those before but she saw / showed me a car with it on and after getting a ticket for not having a front plate she decided to go that route.
