Have a 2016 ZO6, w/Z07 option, (Ceramic Rotors). Al looking at upgrading Wheels. My question is for anyone that has changed from their stock settings to Off Set (Positive or Negative), when replacing their Wheels. Any clearance, handling , etc. problems. What should I look for? Thanks
I replaced my GS wheels last fall with factory size wheels. I don't know exactly what the offset is from factory but this is what my new wheels are and I don't have any issues at all. I do not have the carbon ceramic brakes.
Front - 19X10 5X120.65 +28MM GLOSS BLACK 70.3MM CB
Rear - 20X12 5X120.65 +45MM GLOSS BLACK 70.3MM CB
For a widebody C7 Corvette, 19x10 (+30 Offset) Front and 20x12 (+50 Offset) Rear are very popular aftermarket wheel specs, which make the lips of the wheels almost flush with the faces of the fenders. I have Forgestars with those specs on my Z06, with CCB, and have had absolutely zero issues. On the fronts, the wheels clear the brake calipers by about 1/8".
The OEM wheels have offsets of +43 front and +59 rear, on the Z06. For some reason, the front offset is a slightly more aggressive +40 on the Grand Sport.
This is my cold weather setup with Michelin Pilot All Season 4 tires.
