theres a new compressor for sale in the sale forum 375$
I bought a new ACDelco for $285 on Rock Auto last week. In my research there is multiple part numbers over the c7 years that has it so convoluted its hard to determine the right one, the one you think you need is obsolete or silly expensive and realistically they are the same.
edit, im not an AC tech, and dont even work on cars for a living but ive got more experience with refrigerants then your average bear. I about froze driving my Z today in 100+ degree weather with a compressor listed for a 19 Z06 bolted on my 15.
The clutch came in today and so far it works on a bench test. Now all I have left to do is to re-install
compressor/clutch, fill with refrigerant, and we should be good to go, fingers crossed! Thanks for all yall’s help
Since you opened the system you should replace the accumulator also just before you pull a deep vacuum.
Test system for vacuum leaks before you replace the accumulator by pulling a vacuum and see if it holds at a low pressure, if it does then replace the accumulator.
Don't leave the system open any longer than necessary with the new accumulator installed before pulling a vacuum.
