What's preventing using the K&N service kit to wash and re-oil the filter for re-use? K&N Marketing says its good for a million miles!

If you really need to replace it, you can probably find it on the K&N website: https://www.knfilters.com/

I agree. The K&N is supposed to be a 'lifetime' filter with proper cleaning and re-oiling every 'x' miles or whenever its dirty. Same with most mesh/gauze filters.
