the C7 stick shift record was just reset by John McGhee with a 9.174 @ 162.12!
Turbos and Motec are going to be hard to beat. He didn't just break the record but demolished it. I was really hoping to go after Jeremy's record but the 9.17 is out of my league for sure,

same here I was going to make a push towards the 9.52 this year but 9.17 is too far for me lol
Just went out to Martin, Michigan over the weekend for Street Car Takeover and ran deep into the 9s! Went 9.52 @ 148! This was with a pedal and spinning in second so next time out I will try and improve on this.
I will post the video soon on my YouTube page Hangar Hideout with the roll racing and drag racing passes.
My son is trying to get into the 9's. Currently 10.6 but spinning thru all of first gear. Needs more heat in the ET Street Rs and a quicker 1-2 shift.2-3 and 3-4 are great.
But the trap speed best is 143mph. So its moving on the big end. It's Procharged 2017 Stingray M7. Anyone want to share some launch tips for him???
I know we need a shock change because that 1 LT has some soft shocks. Getting a lot of body travel, maybe too much and affecting his 1-2 shift.
18 years old, second Vette (first was C6), and this was his first time at the track here in Arizona.

I like to get the rpms up high and then be smooth and aggressive with the clutch to drag the rpm back down. You'll want to stay away from dumping the clutch though because C7s are not known for having strong rear differentials.
Here is a video of us at a street car takeover where you can here just how much rpm before I start to let go of the clutch.
Nice. It's pretty crazy that this platform has been out for so long and the record is still only a 9.52 and held by someone making probably under 900 hp. There are a lot of guys out there making a lot more than me and would love them to go out and start running some numbers.
I am nowhere in this league, but I have questions. I have 600rwhp (A&A), Michelin pilot sport tires. I know my tires are the weak link, but I simply cannot get this car off the line with any quickness. 90% of the problem is the driver, so I need some tips. ANY help is appreciated. TIA!
