Default Rev Limiter setting

What is the rpm setting for the rev limiter on 2019 GS? Not launch control limit.

It’s 6500 or 6600. I’ll peek at the programming when I get home

6600. The "Extreme Cutoff" is 6700 but it's kind of a second line of defense. If someone does something to get around the 6600rpm fuel cutoff, the Extreme Cutoff goes to work. In other words, you have to change the cutoff in 2 locations.

You'll also note there are other cutoff parameters such as Engine Oil Temp (EOT)...ie it's not just a single number like the old days.

is there going to be damage hitting the limiter? Once, twice, several times?

If there's nothing wrong with your engine then no. As long as you're not over spinning the engine in an M7 by downshifting too early. Auto cars won't let you money shift.

Generally no, I've hit the cutoff several times.

Car doesn't like it when you hit it, you'll know you did.

I hit it twice in this lap, front straight in 3rd gear, back straight in 4th. Doesn't hurt anything, it's there to protect the engine not hurt it.
