Default Want straight acceleration w/o traction control

I have a 2019 Z06 and when I accelerate (on the street) from low speeds with traction control turned off the back end of the car quickly walks to the right. As we all know there have been a number of guys go off the road from not reacting quickly enough when the rear end starts to pull hard to the right. Is there something that can be done to eliminate this issue? Is this a rear alignment issue? I have seen a number of these cars at the drag strip with traction control turned off and they track straight.

I’m not sure a prepped track is the best comparison for your average street.
these cars make stupid amounts of power especially down low and on street tires with tc turned off? Good luck lol

Get some R888R’s in the rear. Most of those cars on the track are on a prepped surface and have either a drag radial, slick or suspension mods to stiffen it up.

I am running R888R's and they do not have an affect on the back end from swinging out at low speed, under full throttle and traction control turned off.

Obviously, you need to use traction-control or this wouldn't be an issue for you. Some times the "nannies" know best.

Have the alignment checked, specifically make sure the alignment shops is capable of and able to adjust the rear caster setting. My 19 C7Z did the exact same thing, it would walk across 2 lanes of the highway on a 40mph hit. Got the alignment fixed and the rear caster setting set to 90° and it stopped all of that nonsense.

Public roads have a little camber or crown for water run off. That's probably why your car steps out to the right when th he tires spin up.

That's what I was looking for, thanks. Did you mean to say 0.0 degrees not 90 degrees rear castor setting?

In addition to pavement crowning, another variable can be air pressure and specifically a difference between right and left. Most Corvette owners are meticulous so likely not a factor here.

The rear caster spec is 0.0 degrees plus or minus 0.8 degrees. You want as close to 0.0 degrees as you can get on both sides of the car. You also want equal rear camber on each side of the car. Make sure your toe links are fastened tightly and don't have any play in them. Set rear thrust as close to 0.0 degrees as possible.

The caster alignment tool will read 90° when set correctly. I have done the alignment twice now, both times the tool showed 90° on the display.. I use the tool that one of the forum members makes for the rear and the digital angle saw blade gauge.
