Default AFE for Stingray

Hello everybody, I just picked up an AFE 5R oiled intake for my stingray. Has anybody else went this route? What kind of gains can I expect with a tune ? AFE claims this and that but I know it’s not always true. Just curious, thanks.

since no one else has replied I’ll give you my take, no Dyno numbers first thing and biggest is the sound (awesome), next Some power although the stock intake & filter is good for quite a bit more than needed. After headers, intake manifold, air intake and a tune, it feels and performs quite a bit better. I originally changed to the AFE because it was cheaper than the stock and mine had a broken nipple.
Would I do it again…………. Only with the other changes, especially not in Kalifornia or any wher they check for a stock tune

Unless you do other mods for power, the CAI kits for a non Fi don't seem to really add that much to a car. They do add to a cleaner engine bay appearance as I think the stock system is quite adequate but ugly as sin, especially with that jug of a baffle hanging on it.

My opinion is little to no power on a stock motor tuned or not. I do think it helps a little with throttle response but I did ported intake, TB and AFE CAI all at the same time on my car before the real mods.

What it won't do is reduce power so I considered it worth it when I had heads/cam/headers/e85 mods being done on the car a couple of months after I put the CAI on the car. I don't have any dyno numbers to back any of it up.

I had before/after dyno tests done for the real mods.

I wouldn't do oiled ever again on a MAF car. I did the dry kit. Too many people bit by the oil getting on the MAF sensor and causing all kinds of problems. Just my opinion.
