A group of us from the Peace River Corvette Club (PRCC) took our C-7 corvettes on a road trip from Punta Gorda, Florida to Bowling Green, Kentucky to visit the National Corvette Museum and to tour the Corvette Assembly Plant where we had the pleasure of watching the C-8’s in production. What a great sight to see the production of the C-8 in its entirety. The engineering and technology at the assembly plant gave all of us on the tour a sense of pride in “American Made.” If you have time, do yourself a favor, and tour the Corvette Assembly Plant.
On another note, this is the second visit to Bowling Green, KY in my 2019 Z06. Not once has the Z06 ever experienced an overheating or a limp dick mode issue. During our trip, we experienced traffic delays in 96-100 degree road temperatures, and thank goodness, no over heating issues. There were several other PRCC members who drove their C7 corvettes with no issues whatsoever. Anyway, thought that I would share the trip with our Brother and Sister corvette owners.
