Default Arm rest wrinkles

I thought I'd share what I did. Wrinkles on mine were bad.
If it didn't work I had a backup plan ( have it re-wrapped by upholstery shop).
Anyway, when the wife was ironing my shirts I got an idea. My OCD sometimes gets the best of me. I hate wrinkles and crooked stickers.
Remove the cover ( 3 torx screws).
Get a thin towel to lay over the wrinkles and iron on medium set. Push down on it little by little and adhesive will melt and wrinkles will flatten.
keep an eye on how hot it gets as you dont want to melt through ( so medium setting).
Keep pushing down on the iron till it's flattened.
After it's flattened to your satisfaction, you're not done.
You need to use a flat something and weight on it over night til the adhesive hardens. I used my clip board and wife's 15lb dumbell.
it could've come out better ...almost perfect if I spent little more time on it.
Do not use your knuckles or fingers to push on it as it may get dimples . Use a flat item to work it down.
Before you start, may be a good idea to clean up the oil from your arm and dirt that's on there first.

No, but it's the same typical look like all others.
Similar to this .
Like any adhesive. It needs cure time to set. I've had it sitting in hot sun for a day and hasnt lifted.

How many miles do you have on the car?

I have a 19 that hasn’t wrinkled yet and folks tell me the car still smells like new so I’m wondering if I’ve just not driven it enough to see some of these faileures

2nd owner. Under 20k miles. I think resting the arm and putting pressure for long periods especially when its already warm , will start to give. Every one I've looked at online wrinkles the same way.
If it wrinkles again no biggy. My upholstery guy can wrap it in leather.
