Got my new (to me) 2019 Z06 A/T about ten days ago. I live overseas and bought it in the US and had it shipped. With some great help from the forum I reprogrammed the fobs (it only came with one) and I made sure stuff like remote start worked. One day I tried the remote start and all that happened was the lights flashed and there was some mechanical noise at the rear of the vehicle. I drove somewhere about 30 minutes away, and after an hour I came outside and it remote started normally.
A few days later it would not remote start again. After doing some research I found out the remote start will not work if it has a CEL, so I checked and it had a CEL which I had not noted before. So I pulled the code with a Bluetooth OBD2 device and found it had a ‘P015B ‘Heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) 1, bank 1 - delayed response lean to rich, Status: Confirmed.’ I managed to clear the code, and found it interesting it wouldn’t clear the code when the engine was off, but cleared it with the engine running. I was using the Car Scanner app. I drove it for about 30 minutes at up to highway speeds and the CEL did not come back.
Is there anything else I should look at, besides the CEL coming back? Is there any live data from the app I should be looking at?
If your App can graph the O2 sensors look at how the B1 sensor oscillates between rich and lean…it should go from 200 mv’s (lean)-800mv (rich)…this “lazy” O2 may just be bad…a video so you can see what I’m talking about.
Thanks for the advice. Not sure if this captured what you were talking about. My graphs are very different than on the video, maybe because I cannot do them by phase, or maybe I just haven’t figured out how with the Car Scanner app. Probably two hours of driving now and no CEL.
Id post screenshots but I have never been able to upload photos; they always get to 90% and stop uploading.

These car scanner APP are really good for checking trouble codes and some data PIDS…majority of these codes are bad sensors !!
It’s hard to analyze your O2 sensor waveforms with a phone APP…the next step up would be a factory scan tool and the best way is a DSO (Digital Storage Oscilloscope)…you can see how different the right side of your upstream O2 sensors capture is different from the left…and funny you only had a code for B1…B2 looks similar…with a factory or aftermarket scan tool I can look at Mode 6 data and actually see your lean-rich and rich-lean switch rates…it looks like that big spike in your fuel trim may be DFCO (decel fuel cut off) which when you are cruising and then let your foot off the gas some of your fuel injectors are cut off…don’t know for sure by looking at yours…without having more info I’d replace the O2 sensor.
Hi Occam - can Iask did you get the sensor replaced and did the car run as normal after? I have the same issue and I am also not in the US anymore. The guidance I can find suggests that sensor 1, bank 1 should be replaced and it should be ok after that assuming not an issue with another part. I have also cleared the error code and it is not coming back but I notice that something is still wrong as the efficiency is way down from usual levels which is normally suspect of a bad oxygen sensor.
Did you replace it yourself or have a garage do it? Just wondering if there is a special tool or wrench etc like can be very helpful for other c7 corvette parts when you are trying to DIY.
