Default Shift Rod Question...

I can't remember how the rod looked on the stock shifter... the rod is now flush where the line is but does it need to slide back more where it's circled or do I have it right? Thanks!

I think I'm good, looks like rod is notched for the bolt to thread down...

Not sure this view helps but here's a look at mine when I replaced shifter with MGW. This is view prior to install, so it's the factory setting.

^^^^^Thanks.. I was just looking at the sticky above showing how to install a Mgw shifter and judging by the pictures in that thread It looks identical so all good.
