Hi I have a 2016 Stingray 30k miles. I have a warning that says Brake Assist. Took it to mechanic and had power brake booster sensor replaced, also had Vacuum brake booster pump replaced as well as brake booster line (front) and brake vacuum pump relay. Light is still on. Braking seem normal. Any thoughts on why this warning is displaying? Many Thanks.
Since your mechanic has replaced everything, other than the brake pedal pressure sensor, that is most likely the issue. This sensor is mounted on the brake pedal assembly, under the dash.
But, getting the diagnostic codes is the proper next step.
Replacing those other components was not necessary.
Sounds like an electrical issue which your mechanic has not addressed…short to ground or power or an open…I’d find an auto electric shop that can fix this…which 2 digit number follows the trouble code ??…can help with an electrical diagnosis…BTW not all scan tools will show these 7 digit DTC’s…you will need an up level scan tool that shows enhanced data…a cheap scan tool won’t cut it.
