I was on track today and my clutch pedal went to the floor. No warning, no symptoms, just all of a sudden the pedal is pinned to the floor. I can pull the pedal up but it doesn't feel like its connected to anything. My first reaction is the dreaded slave cylinder but I'm thinking it may be the physical connection between the pedal arm and the clutch master cylinder. I'm going to get into it in the morning but looking for input from anyone who has had this apart before. I found the diagram below in another forum post. Is this the right diagram for C7 clutch hydraulics? It looks like there is a coupling between the pedal and plunger for the master cylinder. I'm thinking the clip may have come off one end or the other? Are those clips a unique part or are they a generic thing I can get at an auto parts store on a sunday?
The reservoir is full of fluid so there is no hydraulic leak.
Closing the loop on this. Replacing the clutch master cylinder fixed the problem. Not a easy thing to get your hands on but a fraction of the labor time compared to replacing the slave cylinder.
I removed the driver seat so I could get in there. The linkage and clips are fine. The s curve link in the picture is for the safety switch. The clutch master connects directly to the pedal and is secure.
There is zero resistance to movement from the master cylinder. The only thing keeping the pedal in place is the safety switch. With no resistance and a full reservoir I am thinking the problem is the master not the slave. Anyone had a failed clutch master? We’re the symptoms the same?

Although not as bad as your problem seems to be I had the clutch master replaced on my C7 Z 5 years ago. The pedal had started sticking to the floor when I was on track requiring that I use my foot to pull the pedal up. However, after I pulled it up it usually worked for the rest of the day. The dealership replaced the master under the B2B warranty and I haven't had any clutch issues since then.
