Default Best tune ever? Videos added

Buddy got a tune for his Mustang, "Ghost Cam" from Lund Racing. Must say it really does make the car sound amazing, at idle of course. Anyone done this on a C7? Possible, VCT/VVT? Saw a video of someone manually doing so with HP tuner on a C5, but his results did not really compare to the downloaded Lund tune. Was told - Intake Cams are retarded 20 degrees, Exhaust stays open at zero degrees. Creates overlap and duration for that large Cam sound.

Decatted? High overlap is pretty hard on cats.

Because that WAS the side effect of making power or trying to make power back in the day and people associate that with the old time cars so the owner needs to keep that crowd happy?

I am quite familiar with what it took to make power back in the day and it's still a side effect of making NA power today ... but to ask for a poser tune ...next will be the pop/ burbal tune really.....

Is it as much of a side effect today? I am not sure since I wasn't around but What would it take to make 600HP back then?

That I have heard tuners do that makes me think there is definitely a demand to sound the part.

Demonstrate speed instead of advertising speed. Interesting concept.

You gents are entertaining. Base Stingray has more than enough power for me to enjoy thoroughly! Even with Borla exhaust it still does not sound as good as the 72 C3 w/440 I had previously. The tune interest me as no physical modifications are required to get that muscle sound.

Thanks for the note about gapping being bad on CATS. That is the type info I am after. Seems like this is a common mod/tune for the Mustang and Camaro owners.

Not for Camaros. It's more common to change out the cam.

Mustangs do it to mimic America's real muscle cars

I mean I get it. people want the sounds I bet that 25% of the reason some do cam swaps. But purposely tuning the vehicle to mis/overlap at idle with none of the pros of a cam is literally like cutting your foot off to save you shoe.

That being said, If I was a tuner, I would probably offer that option as there is a bunch of people who don't give a crap and just want it to sound cool at cars and coffee.

I personally daily drive cammed LS /LT stuff for years Love the chop but its real chop for me.

I had a 383 in a C4. 420 RWHP and my so glad to make the power I make in the C7 without the noise and roughness. I have to park further away to minimize people coming to talk to me about it when I pull up.

You should try a shiny C7 that chops haha. It always gets people talking when new body/ tech has that old school lope. I also personally like the shake at redlights.

I instantly dislike anyone that wants or has a ghost cam. It tells me so much about you as a person and how you approach your whole life.

Even though I know how to do it, I will never make a ghost cam tune or help anyone with a ghost cam tune. It's the worst fake mode ever. Worse than stick on hood scoops. Worse than fake caliper covers. worse than 3 foot wings on a ratchet Honda Civic.
