Default High revs with clutch engaged/sometimes

Having a weird issue. Hoping someone has had some experience with this.

recently my car has started idling high randomly and sometimes when I engage the clutch it revs way more that necessary (with rev match on or without). If I release the clutch the rpm’s will drop back down to normal. My ac compressor is bad but otherwise car has been running great. Not sure if those 2 things compressor and high revs/idle could be related

2014 c7 7 speed 138k miles daily driver

(Side note my car needs an AC compressor. Dealership is waiting on a back ordered one)

It's possible if the AC compressor is dragging more than normal. I'm assuming you still have the belt on the compressor?. There's a table in the tune for AC load (below). Having said that, if it was fine before (albeit with a bad compressor) and just started doing this it could be something like a dirty MAF sensor or maybe the compressor is getting worse and is going to seize. Everything is just a guess at this point since it's data free analysis.

Dear David:

I would suggest fixing known issues before diagnosing new ones, as has been mentioned, the known issues may be related and causing the new issues.

Otherwise you may just end up chasing your tail round and round.

Ask me how I know??

The Beav
