Diff or axle issue?
Hey, I Have a 14 m7 non z51. It has the issue where if on acceleration or deceleration there's a noise coming from the rear. If it's in neutral or with the clutch engaged theres no sound. I thought it had a torque tube issue, Then I took it to a shop and they said diff needs to be replaced by just looking at it for 5 mins. I jacked the rear up last night and changed the diff fluid. Then I proceeded to do a bunch of tight turns and the differential noise/whine/rubbing sounds went away for a min then came right back. I then jacked the rear up again and looked around. I found that the passanger side axle is "loose" right where it goes into the diff and makes a clunking sound when pressing on it. I linked a video of me pushed the axle and the sound. Is this simply an axle issue or would it be inside the diff on that side?
