What's the ideal or preferred temps for differential oil?

This will be an interesting thread. I have always heard that for engines you want about 220F so any moisture gets boiled off. Diffs the same?

For what conditions? Racing, normal driving, in North Dakota winter, in Arizona summer?

The reason im asking is simply because I was already upgrading the differential cooler to a transmission cooler as other forum members have and was considering adding a fan with a temp switch to activate it. Mainly just to get more precise tempeture control of the fluid.

I'm new to c7's znd not sure what temps are seen for differential oil and this is my first vehicle that has had a differential specific cooler. So honestly not even sure what normal operating temps are for differentials in general.

Would there be an ideal temp for across the board? If not what about a maximum safe temp?
