Default Reset remote when changing out its battery?

Mine is a 2016 Z06. It came with 2 remotes. One needed a new battery and after replacing it, it still won’t work. Do I need to do a reset or what?

I had an issue when I changed out my battery. Had to press somewhat hard on the chrome strip on the button side. Something "popped" and the remote worked again. I must've taken it apart 3 times checking the battery voltage and that I had it in right.

Check the battery before you put it in, should be ~3.3 volts.

Make sure that it is inserted into the FOB in the correct orientation. I believe the + side will be up facing you.

Changing a battery in a working remote does not require a "reset". Put in a good battery (3.3v or so) and have it stitting with the correct polarity in the FOB and it should work immediately as it did previously.

Only once have I changed a FOB battery in any car and not have it immediately work. Mercedes FOB and I had the battery polarity reversed!!
