Default LME timing gear vvt delete

I am currently swapping out my cam. The timing gear has more play then my old cam. You think the center bolt will hold the cam in place?

Yeah, I have the whole kit. It had a tighter fit with the TSP cam. I have a btr cam now. I am probably going to order the Katech timing gear. It looks like a better design.

pretty sure they both have the same cam gear. if you do swap it out and want to sell the lme tensioner let me know

If it's possible I am going to order just the gear from katech. They modified the gear differently from lme. The lme gear has a bigger hole and uses a bushing on the cam dowel. The katech looks like a smaller hole and doesn't need the bushing on the dowel.

Isn't the LME tensioner just a billet LS2 piece?

I thought the same but it has provision for oil. The ls3 doesn't have oil passing through the center.

interesting research. mine has the bushing as well. let me know what gear you order if you dont mind . im still collecting parts for the swap but if mine has play ill need a different sprocket.

my research for those asking about the sprocket being a ls gear is that its different from the timing mark perspective
