Discount tire was used to change tires. They warned me that one wheel is a little bit out. I got a new one that matched. Life is good even though I couldn't feel any difference. That said, when they were replacing the wheel, I had them show me what the problem was. On the balancer, the outside rim was fine and you can feel some bumping up and down with the inner rim. That the air pressure was fine and all that.
During my search for a wheel, someone suggested I call Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists. I really don't want to make a coffee table out of it. If it has no resale value, I'd toss it out. Since it isn't a GS where the wheel cracks are an issue, should I consider having it fixed and sold or does anyone see a problem. If it is a problem, I prefer not to sell it and just junk it. Another repair shop said you can fix and resell or reuse it if it isn't too bad. Knowing what I know today that the inner rim has a slight wobble, what does anyone suggest? TIA
I've had 8 bent wheel fixed - bent enough that I could feel it when driving. Post-fix they've been fine - which illustrates that the repair process is worthwhile. It cost $125/wheel which includes dismounting and remounting the tires.
Is it a common / popular style and color?
If you don't want to keep it as a spare, sell it as is and full disclosure. Set the price high enough that's worth someone's time to get it straightened. if it doesn't sell this summer then fix it and sell it for full price.
Why not have it repaired and keep it? AWRS is great.
Didn't think that far. When DT warned me of the problem, I assumed the worst and went out to buy a new wheel. Just before install, I was talking to a parts guy at a Honda dealer who asked what I was going to do with the old wheel. He reminded me that I might be able to sell it if it was fixed. I looked at the spin machine and saw the bump was very slight so I just got the idea that I could refurbish the wheel. Not really sure I want to have a wheel hanging around like all the C4 parts I threw away when I sold the car (again, traded in on a whim when the wife got fed up of my screwing with it and insisted I get something newer). So, at this time, kinda undecided if I want to dump up to $200 to fix it and hope to sell it to someone who wants a wheel or what.
I most definitely DO NOT want to sell it if AWRS tells me it is dangerous or even waste the money to fix it if people say that there is no value it in fixed.

Ebay has it sold for 444 to 644. I bought mine for about $340 plus a couple hundred for shipping. Costs me $548.60 so probably not going to get all the money back. Just not sure I want to have it hanging around without a purpose.
I would straighten it and sell it. Would be a good way to recoup some of the funds and it would also be the best option for a buyer as they probably would not want to buy something broken and then have to figure out/find out how much extra it would cost them to repair. Just my opinion. Good luck either way.
