I have a 16’ C7 Z51 that I purchased beginning of the year with only 7400 miles. Very clean and well taken care of based on carfax report.
What I’ve noticed after driving the vehicle there is a burnt oil smell present every time. I took it to the dealer due to the known shudder issue and had the dealer I purchased it from pay for a new torque converter and since then it has been great. Had the dealer look into the burnt smell and stated nothing was out of the ordinary.
Anyone experienced this? I now have 8500 miles and still same smell after driving the car.
I had a burning oil smell once after the dealer did an oil change. The tech must have been a little careless when refilling the oil and it went all over the cabin air filter cover and housing. They did a thorough cleaning all around that area and below where it got on hot engine parts. Is it possible that is what might be causing your issue?

I will inspect a bit more and look into that. I appreciate your feedback and will update soon. Just really odd it only happens after I drive it
If it were me, since you have a Z51 I would remove the intake tube from the air filter to the throttle body and check for oil in it. If someone overfilled your dry sump system at some point you could have residual oil being consumed into your engine. If there is, you just need to clean it out and make sure your oil level is correct based on the prerequisites (time and temperature) for your dry sump system.

Great idea, will look into this as well. Still new to this corvette deal lol
Does it have a catch can on it that could be venting to atmosphere?
If not, as others have said it is pretty common for dry sump cars to get over filled and push a little oil back into the intake track. ONLY EVER put 9.5 quarts in that car.

It does not. I will be looking into it this weekend and check out the intake track.
I appreciate you all for pointers and will update once I figure this out. 😎
