Default Bye bye torque tube

My torque tube went bye bye today. It didn’t snap but clearly gone. I had to limp it a mile home. What are the chances I damaged my clutch or crankshaft that the pilot bearing goes into? I have a manual obviously.

Probably zero since the input shaft on a manual floats in the clutch ....

You going with a 1 piece shaft replacement or going to just swap to billet/polyurethane couplers?

I am exploring options and open to suggestions. I know I sound like a cop out but I am going to see if anyone local will do it for a decent price as well. I was trying to sell my car due to heath reasons and I think this job maybe bigger that I can chew based off how I feel. I did all my motor work etc on jack stands and this would be the same.

I saw Weapon X sells the non bushing ones that are good for 1200 hp. Is it easier to do a fuel pump swap them too? I am eye balling a fore triple pump or one that will support more mods. Not sure if it is easier with the back half of the car apart lol.

Just go right to the source.

https://pstds.com/product/c7-corvett...coupler-delete

https://driveshaftshop.com/product-c...7-driveshafts/

^they also make a carbon fiber one

As for the fuel pump if you want an easier install check out

https://www.mightymousesolutions.com...-fuel-tank-tap

Could use that and run an external inline pump or just go with DSX aux pump kit. How much power are you wanting to be able to support?

I don’t have experience with either but Snow Performance makes a drop in hat for double and triple pump setups

https://www.nitrousexpress.com/C7-Corvette-Fuel-Hat.asp

And Radium Engineering makes a single and double pump hat that has a really nice surge tank integrated.

https://www.radiumauto.com/14-19-Cor...ger-P3012.aspx

I’m a big fan of Radium parts especially their fuel pressure regulators.

I actually like that fuel tank cap. I can install that and run my pump setup somewhere else. I could size my pumps to get rid of my dsx low side.

I will take a look at the alternatives and go from there.

Does anyone know if there is a write up on removing the torque tube? I see one for rebuilding it.
