Default 2017 Oil Catch Can

Hi everyone,

Wanting to see if anybody has an idea for an oil catch can set up. I have a 2017 Grand Sport thats had a lot of modifications added to it including the lt4 supercharger with a smaller pulley producing a good amount of boost. I've been highly advised to get an oil catch can but I'm having a heck of a time finding one I can mount due to the extra cooling tank for the supercharger. I'm not going to do Mighty Mouse as I've already tried ordering their Fender mounted kit and after several months of BS from them I've requested a refund. Does anybody have any custom mounting suggestions or another brand that would have a similar Fender mounted unit. I'm not wanting to add a new heat exchanger tank with the mount built in because that would add a significant amount of money into a car I've put far too much money into already.

I should add, do not use the Bronze filter as it is too restrictive. Remove it completely and stuff one whole Scotch-Brite Stainless Steel Scrubber in between the baffle and top, then reassemble, leaving the bottom portion empty to collect the oil.

An "Advanced search" across the C7 Forums will generate a gazillion catch-can threads split between pro and con.

Not sure what kind of BS you went thru with Mighty Mouse but David was nothing less that outstanding with me when I was asking him questions about what "can" I needed to buy and what hose diameter i needed ( I am procharged ) and then after the sale he answered all my questions that I had about install
The MM cans are the best on the market when it comes to using them for anything less than a max effort build

Sorry to hear that your experence was not the same .......

I bought a m/m kit used and messaged David about the fender mounting plate. 15$ later it was on its way. zero issues fast response and plate fits perfectly for my needs. the kit just simply works and finding g used ones for sale at half the cost is ezpeazy

Well, I may need to make a correction about mighty mouse. I've been emailing them, it's Labor Day, and they got right back to me. I think the dishonesty may need to be placed on my mechanic.. needless to say I'll be contacting them tomorrow after a few quick responses from mighty mouse..

this is what I ordered from David. works great. I was worried about oil fumes and the computers in the same location so I also used the road racing sealed top and vented it under the car. same for the can drain. both just stick out the bottom of the plastic shield easily accessable

Why pay $300+ for a catch can when you can build your own for $60. It isn't rocket science .

Go to home depot, grab a piece of angled aluminum and make a mounting bracket.

I installed a pro-charger on my 2015 Silverado 5.3L. With it being a direct injection motor. I was concerned with the intake valves getting coked up. After much research I opted to the Tracy Lewis Mega Catch can and it hasn't disappointed me. The oil and condensation removal from the crankcase is more than I would have expected. I also considered putting one on my 2015 Z06 , I just haven't pulled the trigger on that. The two valve catch can is for boosted applications so that under boost the catch can is still pulling a vacuum

This is the oil / condensate mix removed after a few thousand miles. When the temperatures drop or when the humidity is high I drain every 1K miles

I am running an Elite Engineering catch can on my 2014 and it is doing a great job keeping oil vapor from the intake.
