C7 Flashing Check Engine Light
While driving to work I had a flashing check engine light on my 2019 c7 stingray and after about a minute or two it disappeared. It has about 30,000 miles on it and I’ve had it since 6,700 miles and this is the first time seeing a flashing check engine light. I also installed a solers performance throttle controller a while ago and in the past occasionally it would give me a solid CEL which would go away after reinstalling, disconnecting and reconnecting the battery. Could a throttle controller also potentially cause a flashing CEL?
I plan on checking the codes later today but has anyone experienced this before?

A flashing MIL is a misfire that can possibly damage your cats…I would not let this go unrepaired for too long…if you are not mechanically inclined I would find a diagnostic shop in your area that would be able to trace this down to one component…dealerships and general repair shops just replace parts which can be expensive for you !!..this throttle controller will not cause the flashing MIL.

These cheap code readers which are pretty much useless will not show you what cylinder or cylinders may be misfiring…all this says it’s a “random misfire”…if you don’t have the right scan tool or diagnostic equipment the best you can do is replace parts…if you want to replace parts you can start with secondary ignition and replace all plugs and wires.
