Default Condensation

Since my TÜV (Technical Monitoring Association in Germany) visit the week before last, during which the car had to run for longer (water temperature approx. 98°), we noticed drops of water after lifting the car, which probably came from the area of the standing wall height in the middle, in the area between the expansion tank and The engine block dripped onto the exhaust, which is also audible.
At the TÜV, even after an intensive search, we were unable to locate the exit point. The water is undoubtedly condensation. The heating and air conditioning were off.
After an hour, the amount of water on the garage floor is approximately 10x20cm, so it's not exactly small. During operation, all temperatures are perfect, absolutely nothing is noticeable.
I would be interested to know the exact cause, as I wasn't able to observe this earlier in the season, even if it was technically harmless. Outside temperatures were in the range of 16° - 20°, so not really cold. The condensation has already been mentioned once, but without an exact cause.

The defroster can run automatically in certain conditions above freezing such as high humidity and not illuminate the a/c light. Look through the owner's manual for the HVAC information - it is buried in there. The condensate drain line is on the firewall and drips onto the exhaust.

Even with the A/C OFF, if the temp control is turned all the way down to LO the A/C will be on.

You are helping educate the TUV staff; ask for some sort of compensation.

Since the condensation occurred suddenly, I tried a different ventilation position based on the great advice here in the forum, button on the top left for air flow for the upper body/head of the driver. This was probably the position in which I rode throughout the season. This means no more condensation and puddles.
In short, as described, the air conditioning still runs in some ventilation positions, even if it is switched off.

Thanks 👍👍👍
