Paddle shift
FYI - While using the manual shift mode (A8) and cruise control the following happened. I was surprised when cruising at 70mph and taking an off ramp I started to downshift (using paddles) went to 7th gear and when the mph went below 70mph the cruise control stepped in and returned to 70mph. That was indeed eye opening - I can only imagine the feeling if I had went from 8th to 6th or lower. I am glad that I am aware of this and will drive accordingly.

I knew that the brake pedal disengaged the cruise control - was just surprised on the down shift waiting for speed to decrease not increase. I now know better. Thanks for the reply.
