What are the best aftermarket air intakes out there based upon results of dyno tests. What are the true horsepower and torque results? What filters are people using wet, dry etc. Any recommendations and or comments are appreciated.
I chose the GM Jake intake and paired it with the attack blue dry filter. Tuned on e85 at 90 degree ambient air temp and 100 percent humidity. It's not like the old days when an aftermarket intake is going to make much if any difference. Honestly most of the decisions are primarily based on cosmetics and "feel goods" with intakes.

Way I see it, these things are like any religion. It requires a lot of imagination. Unfortunately, I have very little imagination so neither will work. IMO, you need to see what your situation is. I am a Stingray so just because it helps a SC C7 doesn't mean it will help my NA C7. Some of the ads will use a modified vehicle and let you imagine what it will do for YOUR particular situation. You need to see a "Before" and "After" chart where only that one thing was changed. Frankly, so far, I haven't seen much of anything that shows the current stock setup is lacking. Just because it can flow more air doesn't mean your car can use it. I can drop 50 gallons of water in front of you but if you can't drink it, what will it do?
My setup is stock, and I don't plan on changing that. My personal belief is that there's not just enough 'bang for the buck' to be had with an intake swap.
If you like and want the different visuals, that's another story.

At stock level, I'm not sure if there is any gain at all.

I would agree with this especially on a mostly stock car.
