a quick search of that part comes up as transfer case oil?
Oh man this is going to be a lot of fun if they put the wrong oil in the car

I would say the receipt is accurate. Somebody is in trouble. That would explain why it ran for a while, then exploded. The oil might even smell like trans fluid.

I can't wait to see what happens with this. If they actually put transmission fluid in the engine that is an inexcusable mistake by even a rookie oil change "tech". You need to get a sample of what was in your engine quickly before they monkey around with it and try to cover their tracks.

Manual trans oil would run in the car, but not for very long, as i suspect you are finding out.
Please keep us posted and sorry for what appears to be your bad luck with another dealership lube tech.
