Also,,,, did you get a receipt that showed exactually what was put in your car and how much?
I just looked at the receipt from my oil change and they listed as "installed (OEM) : N-OIL (08800-BOPCKT) 10@11,65"
a quick search of that part comes up as transfer case oil?
Oh man this is going to be a lot of fun if they put the wrong oil in the car
I would say the receipt is accurate. Somebody is in trouble. That would explain why it ran for a while, then exploded. The oil might even smell like trans fluid.

I can't wait to see what happens with this. If they actually put transmission fluid in the engine that is an inexcusable mistake by even a rookie oil change "tech". You need to get a sample of what was in your engine quickly before they monkey around with it and try to cover their tracks.

Looks like Monkey hands Mike got a hold of your car. Who can you trust these days???

That would certainly explain a lot and the reason for such an unexpected failure so soon after the oil change.
Manual trans oil would run in the car, but not for very long, as i suspect you are finding out.
Please keep us posted and sorry for what appears to be your bad luck with another dealership lube tech.
