Default Dealer reprogrammed computer??

I'm looking at a '14 z51 equipped Corvette that was purchased new in Ca. and the Carfax says that the computer was reprogrammed in '18. Was this a factory recall, service bulletin, etc.??
The car was then transferred to NV. in '18 and passed emission testing there.

The carfax report doesn't specify, just says "computer reprogrammed".
I'm wondering if it was a GM update, deleting a tune, etc.?
Also, per Carfax, "instrument panel replaced" in 2023. Any info on this, common issue, etc.?
Thanks in advance.

I would go to your nearest Chevy dealer with your VIN and they should be able to tell you.

If the dealer reprogrammed the ECM , they can only put back stock files . There are a 100 reasons why they would have to flash a ECM , if you are worried about not passing CA emissions , there is no need to worry as long as it was not tuned by anyone else .

As long as the CVN file, this is the file that counts ECM flashes and is how GM and the states can see if a car was " Tuned " matches the Flash count that GM states should it should be for the ECM then you will have no issue

If they flashed any other module in the car, you are still ok as the states do not care about other modules. They only care about the ECM

There are many updates available for the C7 on the AC Delco site but just like your home computer , if it ain't broke you don't flash it

As far as replacing the dash cluster , it's electronics and electronics break. Its not a common problem but they did it back in 2018 and its still working .... I would not worry , by the way , they would have had to flash the dash cluster during install so it would be seen by the body control and other modules

I would not let these two reasons stop me from buying the car
