Default Check Engine Light - Tuned car

Hey folks,

I recently purchased a 2019 GS which seems to be tuned, it had modified headers as well BUT I can see the original air filter. The car has a check engine light, and few codes that i believe they are related. On top of that I didn't see V4 mode activated so it might all be related. Here are the codes I am getting:

---------------------------P0011 [0x0011]Camshaft position (CMP), intake/left/front, bank 1 - timing over-advanced/system performance"A" Camshaft Position - Timing Over-Advanced or System PerformanceStatus: Confirmed

Didn’t you post the same issue a few days ago ??….can’t have duplicates so do you want this one deleted ??…other post you said you have a 2019 ??…beyond the advice we have already given you that’s all we have for now….there is no silver bullet for any issue you may be having.

Your other post is deleted and as I mentioned check your battery and engine oil…there is not going to be a 100% accurate diagnosis on this Forum unfortunately !!

All your codes point to the bank 2 and sensor 2 O2 heater.

I see only two possibilities, one easy the other not.

Bank 2 sensor 2, O2 sensor heater is malfunctioning. Check all of the wiring going to this this O2 sensor, measure this O2 sensors resistance at the PCM, O2 connector disconnected from the PCM of course. Check the connectors for damage of course.

Now you need a scanner.

A bad PCM.

hey folks,

so I was "luckly" be able to reach to the old owner, idenfitied the garage who did his window tent and I went their where they called him ))).

The car has the following modifications, BUT NOT AIR FILTER NEITHER A TUNE
- Upgraded headers
- Upgraded camshaft
- Upgraded downpipe
- Removed catalytic converter

I am afraid that I must tune the car, and install an air filter (the current one is the STOCK!!). What are your thoughts on Air filter and tune ?

Filter isn't a big deal. Tune is a necessity.

Should I:

- keep the current air filter and Tune
- change only the air filter (options are Attack Blue, BMS and K&N) And Tune
- Change air intake and Tune

I have been reading much about it, no bullet proof decision is there yet

With those mods, you definitely need a tune.

Filter is enough. CAI's are just cosmetic in most cases.

dyno tune would be the best, then they can tweak it to your specific car

indeed, but tweaking on dyno tune is then a custom tune. Isn't?
