I have a 19 GS - is there a difference in the mag ride settings compared to the Z06 settings. If so what is the difference and can the GS be adjusted to match the Z06.
since the shocks are computer controlled I would say yes they are different based on transverse spring rates tire size and such. I would venture to say the doc suspension controller can adjust the mag ride shocks but at a price
Each model and suspension package has unique software to match the springs, bushings , sway bars, aero components and weight of the particular package. The differences aren’t dramatic. The 19 GS comes with the latest and best version of the factory software. The GS is arguably the best handling version of the C7 because it has the chassis upgrades of the ZO6 and the ZR1 without the additional weight that comes with the supercharger and intercooler that burdens the front wheels. The ZO6 software is optimized for the ZO6 it’s not a magic bullet solution for other models. If you are doing a comprehensive suspension/aero upgrade for track use you probably would benefit from custom tuning but otherwise there most likely nothing to be gained.
When I started driving in the 1966 very few cars had a decent suspension (basically none) but the C7 GS is one of the best setups on today’s roads. Its lap times are still top level and the package is six years old. Short of a full-on track machine tires are your best handling consideration.
