Default Steering Wheel Switches electrical expertise help please

I am looking to repurpose a C7 steering wheel

I want one or both of "any" of the left or right switches to be a closed circut on contact (which out side of the clock spring will be signal power to ground - activating a can bus signal)

While I do have the pin outs of the steering wheel switches, on closing any of the switches, none close a circuit

any ideas on which switches can be repurposed? And how?

Moving this over to C7 Tech for some assistance.

The closest switches that match your requirements are the cruise control switches, but these are read as discrete resistance values. All of the other switches are on the LIN bus.

One side would work,

when I put a meter on looking for ohms to go to zero, starting with BLK, noe of the other three cause this action when pushing the buttons.

YEL, RD-WHT BRN-GRN

The YEL at the clock spring connector goes through other switches and probably is an open circuit unless jumpered.

When I did this 4 years ago, while less than ideal, the paddle shift were distinct open close circuit, dont remember if it was an auto or manual, however now the Z06 wheel I have, the paddles are not responsive either.

Measure ohms RD-WHT to BRN-GRN. Each cruise control button will result in a different reading.

those aren't going to give NO NC configuration - is there a way to open up the switch and jumper over the resistance to give a closed contact when pushed?

deep freeze over, dug out one of the c7 wheels...
the FAV and the Sound buttons, while not ideal, have a NO and on contact short to ground, all 4. only thing is all 4 wires are different.

that's at the RH connector to the switch above

what comes out of the clock spring is nothing...
