I have a 2014 Stingray with the dreaded fuel sending unit issue. It’s been going on intermittently for the last year or so , but this time the check engine light came on with Code PO2066 . The fuel gauge came back to normal, but my code reader will not reset the CEL as it says it’s a permanent code. Any ideas how to reset this ?
These permanent DTC’s are stored in “Mode 10” so whatever cause the MIL to illuminate has to be repaired and then the ECM will have to run a self test…watch the video at the 10:00 minute mark.

Try some Techron doses in the gas tank, that might resolve it, if the issue is a sulphur corroded tank sending unit.
Might take two or three tankfulls, each with the recommended Techron dosage.

If you try the Techron, make sure that you understand the filling/emptying process of both tanks.
