Hello, about my 2019 GS, I installed KNS brakes some time ago, all 4 pads and all 4 rotors. When I shift to reverse, the brakes squeak after starting the car. The squeak goes away after some time. How do I fix the squeak?
My stock brakes squeak the first time I back out of my driveway after I've washed my car and the rotors are rusty. The rotors only rust when I wash the car, not just sitting on the driveway.
Yours may just be something you have to live with.
Planning to clean and lube the pins and clip to see if this resolves it.

Finally got around to this today.
Cleaned and lubed the pins and ends of the pads. Also, cleaned up the calipers.
Will report back if this doesn't resolve the issue. It was pretty random for me which is why it took me so long to get to it.
Planning to replace the rotors when the pads are due. They are glazed.
Note: Don't put this on parts covered with rubber boots as it is Ceramic and could damage the rubber over time.

Aren't the pins supposed to be lubed as well?
According to Permatex
DIRECTIONS:
1. Clean parts to be lubricated with Permatex® Brake & Parts Cleaner.
2. Apply small amount to caliper hardware, backing plates, bushings and seals to create uniform surface areas and prevent noise. Safe on rubber seals and plastic.
3. Lubricant may also be used as a noise suppressor to eliminate caliper brake squeal by applying to the BACK of the brake pad. DO NOT APPLY TO ANY BRAKING SURFACES.
The pins on our cars don't have rubber boot covers and are not slide pins. So yes, I lubed my pins with it.
When I did some comparisons on which lube to go with, it stated that some rubbers react different to Ceramic type lubes:
Keep them separate: Do not use the ceramic/metal-based lubes on caliper pins with rubber boots, as the solids can damage the rubber or cause it to swell. Stick to pure silicone for the pins.

This didn't resolve the issue. Will replace the glazed rotors at some point.

You know you can knock the glaze off of the rotors with this right ? (See picture below)
As far as the pads , 180 grit sandpaper on a flat surface , rub pad across sandpaper to knock the glaze off of it .....
